Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF2
Part of Panasonic's micro 4/3 series of mirrorless interchangeable lens cameras, the Panasonic Lumix GF2 sports a 12 megapixel four-thirds size Live MOS sensor, 3in TFT LCD, 3.2fps still shooting and 1080i 60fps video. The GF2 is a small, lightweight camera capable of shooting high quality stills and full HD video. The LUMIX GF2 can record 1920 x 1080 videos at 60i or smooth HD 1280 x 720 movies at 60p in AVCHD.
Nauticam Opens the Underwater World to the GF2 Shooter
The best housing available for GF2 is Nauticam’s NA-GF2. This housing is machined from solid aluminum, allowing a form fitting small design, the lightest weight possible, and specialized control placement to enhance ergonomics. The housing shutter release is extremely sensitive, allowing precise feel of half and full press shutter release positions. Nauticam has also split the “click” and “turn” functions of the command dial into two separate functions on the housing, making these controls easy to operate in water, even with cold water gloves.
Adding to the Nauticam Port System
Nauticam have built a complete port system for most popular macro, wide angle and fisheye Micro 4/3 camera lens.
The port system for GF2 expands upon the existing port system for the NEX-5 housing, adding additional ports for the superb Panasonic Lumix micro 4/3 lenses. Olympus micro 4/3 lenses and Leica micro 4/3 lenses can be used with this camera as well, further expanding the lens choices. Lenses initially supported include the Lumix 14-42mm, the Lumix 14mm/2.5, the Lumix 8mm Fisheye, the superb Lumix 7-14mm, the Leica 45mm macro, Olympus 14-42mm, and Olympus 9-18mm. Zoom gears are available for the zoom lenses listed above.
